MORPHINE AND COCAINE.
With regard to Morphine and Cocaine, the views of Siamose Government have been explained in a Note from the Siare se Minister for Foreign Affairs to the Netherlands Minister in Bangkok, dated December 29th, 1910, a cony of which has been distributed among the Delegates at this Conference.
Briefly:- As regards Cocaine, there is, so far, no extensive abuse of the drug in Siam, but the Government 18 anxious to deal with its use in the same way as with Morphine.

A copy of this draft Law is annexen} to prevent the illegitimate use of Morphine and Cocaine without, however, placing impediments in the way of their legitimate employment in medicine. Its two leading rind ples are therefore:- (1) control by the Siamese Government over the mount which may be Innorted; and, (2) the rendering of accounts by sellers showing that they have disposed of their supplies in a legitimate manner.
